Kokhloma, Joint Venture
“Joint Venture “Kokhloma” LLC produces high quality cotton yarn for textile and weaving since 2003. The company′s products have repeatedly marked with the sign “100 best goods of Russia”.
The history of the factory began in 1853 with the construction of a flax spinning mill at the expense of merchants Bryukhanov and Zotov. In 1900, next to it a cotton mill was built. In 1910, the flax spinning were eliminated, thus the cotton spinning greatly expanded. In Soviet times, the company was known as the factory ««Znamya Truda” (“Banner of Labour”). In the spring of 2002, a strategic investor came to the company, which resulted in the modernization of production.
Currently, Kostromskaya cotton manufactory produces and sells the following products:
Cotton yarn (100% cotton), as well as blended (cotton+polyester), single-stranded severe carded for weaving and knitting production generated on the full closed loop of Rieter and Truetzschler & Schlafhorst by pneumomechanic spinning process.
The raw material for the yarn is cotton grown in Central Asia (Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan).
The quality of the yarn has been certified by Belcoro company — one of the most strict certification bodies of the European Community.
The factory operates a number of measures designed to monitor the quality of products around the clock, starting from laboratory “Uster-tester” and ending with relaxation chamber for ready products. In the production process yarn passes 9 stages of quality control. Tests at each stage of production allows to achieve high quality of the yarn.
