According to Kalamanov, actions of the Ministry supporting small and medium enterprises are focused on the introduction of new measures to stimulate economic activity, as well as on the support for various industries, including textile and light industry.
Among the measures already implemented the deputy minister called subsidies for upgrading enterprises of light industry, assistance in payment of loans taken for development of enterprises, subsidies to grow turnover capital and to finance current activities of enterprises.
Georgy Kalamanov said that major changes in the sector of small and medium-sized businesses will take place together with the launch of the law “On industrial policy in the Russian Federation.” This is the basis of the mechanisms that are going to have beneficial effect on Russian economy, including small and medium-sized businesses.
He also referred to the upcoming amendments to the law “On Trade”, which are designed to accelerate development of small retail formats, including non-stationary and mobile ones. These measures will directly affect the development of small enterprises in the areas of production of clothing, shoes, babies’ products, food, and other items that are essential for each customer.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said that entrepreneurs should pay attention to participation in exhibition business, since it’s a great opportunity to express themselves and show their products to potential buyers.
“Now the economic situation itself offers producers of goods a good opportunity to take the niche vacated by foreign suppliers. This can and should be a powerful incentive for development of small and medium business”, — summed up his speech Kalamanov.
